Description

Type 804 Uninterruptable Power Supply is an industrial grade unit for stationary and indoor use only.

Main functions referred to the figure above:

LOAD  :                        Connect to the screw terminals in the 

-                                    end of the output wires(red+/black-).

OUTPUT VOLTAGE  :   The output voltage is pre-set for 13.6 or 27.2VDC

                                       (1 or 2 batteries).

BATTERY:                    Connected to the push-on connectors                    

 -                                    (red+/black-)(For 27,2VDC use 2 batteries in series).    

EMERGENCY LIGHT CONNECTION:  To use  "SECURITY LIGHT CONNECTION" (Warning light indicating mains off) , connect a 12V lamp when using one battery or a 24V lamp when using two batteries ,( NB! max 5W) between +12/ 24V output “red wire” and "blue wire" . If mains supply is OFF the lamp will light.

BATTERY PROTECTION: The UPS is equipped with a protection relay, which will protect the battery against a "deep discharge"  (totally discharged ,0V on the terminals).

A totally discharged battery is almost impossible to recharge.

The protection relay will avoid this situation.

NOTE! When initially connecting a battery to the UPS, the output voltage will remain on 0V for a few seconds after mains voltage is applied.

Safety .

The UPS conforms to the safety standard EN60950, class II.

For indoor, stationary use only.

Service must be performed only by qualified personell .

For overload protection a fuse is connected in series with the battery .

Maximum operating temperature for the UPS is +40^oC with maximum output load. Check that the temperature inside the cabinet in which the UPS is mounted is not too high.
